What to check before you buy

Steel grade: 316 contains molybdenum and resists pitting and crevice corrosion better than 304 — it is the grade specified for marine fittings. Most bar fridges state no grade at all.

Chlorides, not weather: salt air and pool chemicals drive corrosion, and heat accelerates it. No stainless is rust-proof, so coastal installs are where the grade earns its money.

Cavity, not cabinet: a built-in needs its ventilation clearance as well as its width. Use the fridge fit-finder before you cut an opening.
