Description
The Corona bar fridge in its 160-litre skinny upright form: a full-height glass door cabinet just 390mm wide, holding 144 cans behind officially licensed Corona artwork. It is the model most people mean when they search for a Corona beer fridge, and the one that fits where a normal fridge will not.
Will it fit?
External 1,880 x 390 x 475mm (H x W x D). The width is the whole point: at 390mm it slots into the gap beside a bench, a bar or a cabinet run that cannot take a 600mm fridge. Internally you get 1,250 x 300 x 330mm across 5 adjustable shelves.
It is freestanding, not built-in. If you are boxing it into joinery anyway, allow a cavity of 1,920 x 470 x 625mm and keep 150mm clear at the rear plus 40mm at the sides and top. It weighs 60kg empty, so plan the final position before it is loaded.
What is behind the branding
The Corona artwork is applied under licence at the factory, and the cabinet under it is a working piece of refrigeration rather than a novelty. Triple-glazed LOW E glass keeps the door clear instead of fogged, and the door locks - the reason this model turns up in garages, offices and rented spaces as often as home bars. Interior is smashed aluminium with LED lighting, and it holds down to 0°C if you want beer genuinely cold rather than merely chilled.
It runs at 43dB, which is quiet enough to live in the same room as you, and draws 2.1 kWh per 24 hours at a 9.0 star energy rating - about $197 a year to run. Certified SAA Electrical and EMC (C-Tick) for Australia, and covered by a 2-year warranty. Rated for indoor use, or outdoor use in an enclosed, under-cover area.
⚠️ The door is right-hinged and not reversible. Check which way it needs to open before ordering.
How it compares to the other Corona fridges
If 160 litres is more than you need, the 70L Corona retro and the 46L Corona mini are the same branding in a benchtop cabinet, both at 39dB. If you want more capacity and have the width, the 370L Corona upright is 615mm wide, also lockable, and marginally quieter at 41dB. The full range sits in Corona bar fridges.
Corona bar fridge questions
How many cans does a 160L Corona fridge hold?
144 standard cans across 5 adjustable shelves. Bottles reduce that, and shelf spacing
changes it, so treat 144 as the flat-packed figure.
Can this Corona beer fridge go outside?
It is rated for indoor use, or outdoor use in an enclosed, under-cover area, with
150mm of rear clearance for airflow.
Is it lockable?
Yes. The door locks, which is why this model suits garages, offices, clubs and rentals.
How much does it cost to run?
About $197 a year at 2.1 kWh per 24 hours, rated 9.0 stars.
Is the Corona branding official?
Yes, applied under licence at the factory, not an aftermarket wrap or sticker.
Can the door be re-hung on the other side?
No. It is right-hinged and not reversible.
