The officially licensed CUB cut-out panel puts the Great Northern mark into 430-grade stainless, and when the timber takes hold at dusk you get that logo burning in light against the dark. The dual-skin construction pulls smoke through the wall cavity before it clears, so a still night around the fire does not mean a smoky one.

Everything about the build is set up for taking places: legs fold flush underneath the body, carry handles sit on either side, and a carry bag is included so it travels without fuss. A slide-out ash tray handles the morning clean-out. As with any wood-burning fire pit, outdoor or open alfresco use only — adequate ventilation is non-negotiable.

Like any wood fire, it runs cleanest on dry, seasoned hardwood — a little smoke while the fire establishes is normal.
